Learn Japanese junior-high social studies — geography, history, and civics — through 527 short questions across 67 units, following the MEXT curriculum guidelines (2017).
- Test range: pick the units covered by your next school or cram-school test. The selection stays put, so you can drill just that range as often as you like, with a learning meter for the range as a whole
- Explanations: after each answer you get the reason behind it — not a restatement of the term, but why it works out that way
- Geography: world and Japanese regions, latitude and longitude, time zones, prefectural capitals, territory, the continents, Japan’s natural environment, resources and industry, reading topographic maps (26 units)
- History: historical periods, ancient civilisations and religions, the Asuka/Nara/Heian eras, samurai rule, unification, the Edo shogunate, the Meiji Restoration, the rise of parliamentary politics, the two world wars, and postwar Japan (21 units)
- Civics: modern society, conflict and consensus, consumer life, market economy, production and finance, labour and rights, social security, public finance and taxation, human rights and law, the three principles of the Constitution, democratic government, courts, local autonomy, and global issues (20 units)
- Master All: an endless mix drawn from what you haven’t learned yet, with a meter that only goes up
- Missed questions are collected automatically for focused review
- Modes: 5 questions / until you miss one / until you stop
- A streak counter and stamp calendar keep a record of the days you showed up
- Geography is free; a one-time Pro purchase unlocks history and civics and removes ads
